Hello, my name is Nicholas, or Nick for short. I came up with ZYVO after ending a night out with a dead phone and no easy way home. As you can imagine, that got old pretty quickly. A few nights ended with a long walk home, and on others I had to borrow a stranger’s phone to call a friend or family member for a ride. There’s nothing quite like asking a stranger to use their phone and then realizing you only know one phone number by heart.

After it happened to a few of my friends and me, I started noticing how few places had an easy way for guests to charge their phones. That’s why another college student, Dakota Parisek, and I started ZYVO. We’re bringing portable charger rentals to local bars and event spaces around Louisville. The idea is simple: grab a charger, take it with you while you enjoy the night, and drop it back at the station when you’re done. If it saves someone a long walk home or an awkward call from a stranger’s phone, that’s exactly why we started it.
